weatherspoons top end of market street, couple of mins walk and cheap booze
All depends on the mood of the bar staff in there pal. I've seen em refuse to serve people with colours on more than once.

If you got a top just zip it up

Ignore this lot - they obviously don't know what they're talking about. Skip the pint in town!

Get a taxi directly to the ground from the station nice & early & use one of the many bars on the concourse in the ground.

The beer is some of the best you'll find anywhere in Manchester, the service from the friendly staff is second to none & its cheap as chips to boot!

Pleased to be of service!

;-)

He's right.

Well apart from this bit, anyway:

ha ha...thats funny. Beer is crap around the ground. Get to town mate. Shakespere in Picadilly is a cracking pub and its over 18's so no kids allowed, the Sawers on deansgate is good, the Peroni in there is not bad, old nags head off deangate. Or if you want a weatherspoons go to the waterhouse on princess street, its much nicer than the one in picadilly because that one is a bit shitty inside. Any one of these and you won't go wrong.

Thought The Shakespeare was off Market Street?

The Waldorf is always full of blues. Short walk. And Manchester is a city not a town. Oldham is a town, :)

I like that Waldorf myself.Decent little boozer. What's the pub further down the road, closer to Pic strain station.I used to drink in there many years ago before City games.
