I have 'friends' there and although I've never been if they are the norm for the area I'd fully agree with you.Sheerness, Isle of Sheppy. Known locally as Cabbage Island

Alfreton.
Really really weird place with really really weird people much like Chesterfield but smaller so more concentrated
I live around the area and the weirdo to normal ratio is unbalanced compared to anywhere else I've seen just pop in spoons for some Midlands madness.Yep, you've just reminded me of Leek, another strange town, in fact there's a few in that Staffordshire/Derbyshire area.
Haha I can imagine. I used to play footy up there and on more than one occasion we had to flee the ground in fear of our lives. Locals getting in their cars to chase us. Crazy bunchFuck me, i was visiting the wife’s uncle up there 20 years ago and i needed some cigs so i nipped into the local boozer to use the cig machine.
Well the piano went off and the place fell silent.I swear i heard them whisper, lynch him...My mrs informed me we would be spending our evening in there ffs! My mate (Black lad) was also meeting us, so i was winding him up saying he’ll never get out alive.
Anyway after a couple of hours my pal was like a local celebrity and amazingly, we ended up having a belting night! Crazy place and folk haha!
