Can anyone explain to me why trade deals between countries effects what we buy and sell? Surely companies sell to companies not through governments. I know it's not as simple as that buy if anyone could explain I'd much appreciate it!! Thanks
If you buy something from the US and get it shipped over you have to pay an import tax. Its very complicated and can be expensive so businesses don't bother. Doing a trade deal simplifies the process opening up the way for business to trade across borders. Its a pros and cons thing, its good for strong businesses with good products who can take advantage, its bad for bad businesses who can lose their market share to cheaper/better foreign imports.
