On a serious note - think the mancunian way is fucked at that end and will be like this for months.

Agree. A council source told me at least December and that was before today's new hole. chaos getting home now

It's now reopened, funny how another big hole appears on the day of our opening CL game and the road has to be urgently closed, funny how this morning the hole has gone and the road is safe again, funnier still the boss of the main contractors has a box at the swamp.

Quick question, was westbound open again after the game last night ? I didn't try, but the traffic from Gt Ancoats Street/Every Street, seemed to be flowing normally (after I'd committed to the wrong lane).

Reopened yesterday afternoon. Still only one lane each way though as the contraflow is still in place

Personally I find it far easier getting away as I`ve found a new route to the flyover.

I park behind the Sports Stadium and then head down towards town.I honestly don`t know the names of roads but just prior to the viaduct which leads on to the start of the Mancunian Way,you hit a set of lights and turn right there.Down to the bottom and you then turn left and its sign posted Chester etc and you`re on the start of the Manc Way by the Apollo Theatre.Not certain if that helps but it certainly gets us to the bottom end of Moss Side and onto the Airport.Last couple of home gamed we`ve been home within the hour.

On Monday, the Manc way was open for non-HGV traffic only. Single lane so there will still be delays (although no way near as bad as it has been).
