I saw a premier of the original film on a trip back to Manchester. Tony Wilson introduced it and there was a New Order video on beforehand.

That's cool. This 4k restoration is getting another cinema release probably late August/early September.

I seen the Bowie film "Moonage Daydream" in Imax and that looked and sounded great so hopefully this film will be shown in premium screens too.

To be honest, the whole thing looks like a caricature of Anderson's early work.

Gone is the awkward timing and acting that felt special at the height of Anderson's work. Maybe it's because we've seen it all before, but now it all feels forced and contrived.
