Trailer Time...

Man, I love it!

I love it!
I love it!
I love it!
I love it!
I love it!

I was thinking 'this looks pretty bold, on the verge of 'epic' ' and then I saw Zack Snyder's name come up and I knew why it looked so great! Whilst he's not the greatest writer in the world, he's not afraid to try something different and this has clear influences, but fantastic vision!

Man, I can't wait!

Snyder. I think the best way to describe him is that his ( as in ones he writes and directs ) films pretty much always look excellent but the story is almost always a mess and this feels like its gonna fit that pattern. he works best when someone else is writing the story for him and he concentrates on Direction and cinematography.

the 1st thing that came to mind when I watched the trailer was "this is gonna be suckerpunch all over again"

I, fully, agree and that's the fear that keeps on going with him, right? He needs a writer!

So, I'm praying he's addressed it cos it seems like a lot of detail over two films!

'Dune: Part 2' delayed to March 15, 2024.

Now this is very interesting!

By all accounts, this film had already been shot and going through production. No writers strike to affect it and some pre-strike interviews must have been done. By the time the film was originally slated, the actors strike would have been over as what's happening now is already beginning to bite both sides of the strikes and actors could have been available to promote the work.

The only possible reason for delay is a 'possible special effects' strike, but I'm not even sure this section of the film is unionised.

I think they've taken a decision to reshoot some scenes as Warner Bros struggle, financially, in the market. They need a massive hit.

Apparently Snyder took this to Lucasfilm as a Star Wars concept early on but exec Kathleen Kennedy turned it down.
