It was less satisfying if I’m totally honest but still essential viewing and a cut above 95% of what’s out there.Watched first two seasons but not the third was it any good?

Don’t if this been posted before but only just noticed it out on the 30th June
That looks interesting, but it also reminds me of when a film is miscast and when a trailer can say much more than the actual film.
Anyway, here's something that looks fun...
I can't wait to see Foxx's turn as Mike Tyson in the upcoming biopic. Gonna ruffle some feathers, for sure.
When is the Tyson thing coming out he did it ages ago.
Why do they feel the need to remake a classic?
I also enjoyed its new direction, but after season 2 i couldn't handle anymore.
Trying to be far too clever for its own good and proper up its own arse.

Seeing as it's a CBS offering, I'm guessing at possibly a TV series. Agreed, though, it looks dreadful. Who can forget Bill Paxton's cameo in the original? "At least, do it for your country"!Is that a TV series?
Either way, it looks awful!!
Strange New Worlds isnt perfect, but,as much as is possible in todays society.....it captures some of the magic/feel of the original, and is far more enjoyable and watchable because of such.I love Star Trek but like you found this to be a bit too far off the usual trekie feel and as you pointed out a "Bit too clever".

Interesting choice to play Marilyn. But then, Ms De Armas currently seems to be the big thing in the female acting circle right now.

There is a joke there about lead being inserted into said drawing/writing implements, but I'm far too classy a gentleman to plumb such depths.I'd watch ms De Armas do a documentary about the history of pencils.
