Called down today, but unfortunately at the wrong time. So here's DH's report.

2pm start today and the players leaving later by coach for Nottingham.Players on show today were defenders MR,KT,PZ,VK,JL,JB and AK,midfield NDJ,PV,MJ,DS,GB,GA,JM,YT and attackers ED,Jo and JG so the notable missing ones were CT,SWP ( MB and AJ being the known injuries. The word re AJ I was told is they are still waiting for the scan results.

As usual on the day they travel to a game it was fairly gentle stuff in warming up followed by handball games, in the air passing games and then a little football. More warm up drills before they went to play football on one of the undersoil pitches. There were still signs of frost around where the sun hadn't got to so no doubt decided to use the most suitable surface.

Nothing special in the game they had but obviously interesting to see Guidetti, MJ and Assulin involved and probably likely to be involved in the squad if not the game on Sunday.JG was getting stuck in as usual and di hit the deck quite hard at one point. Dzeko finished well quite a few times and one was a penalty. Kolarov scored at least one but others are still orbiting! AK took Barry out once and I was worried because I thought it was MJ and he might not get up ever again. Barry was fine.AK also broke well down the righ late on and both Zaba and Boateng came over. All I saw was a flurry of arms and legs as the collision happened and then everyone got up giving each other lowfives. Not a problem.

Time was called but a bunch stayed for some finishing practice.Milner as usual but also Dzeko,Micah,Jo,Patrick.

The word on Tevez is that he is fine and just working inside today. Nothing re SWP but he did miss Friday as well and he looked battered and a little injured on Thursday so maybe injured.

Think Jo and Dzeko will start with Guidetti, Assulin and M. Johnson on the bench.

Come on CITY !!!!

Interesting that SWP has been missing the last couple of days, with Mancini stating if SWP left we would be short and getting someone in, it does make you wonder.

Maybe we are set for a final day bit of excitement.

I think the average height would most probably be raised if SWP left.
LOL

exciting to see Assulin and Guidetti at least training with the first team now.

Good to see Micah spending time at extra training these days. The Vieira effect?

How many times in the last 3 weeks has he spent extra time training?
I don't think one should count as the Vieira effect do you? Or do you mean that because it is only once that Vieira is having a negative effect?

I'm not criticising him haha, just observing. Comparing it to a few years ago, when he was last one on the training pitch, and first one off it. It's just a theory I have as to why Vieira was brought in, to make sure the younger players are progressing properly. Hence, the Vieira effect.
