There were a number of newbies at training today, not players but speccies.

They would have seen probably the best spirit I have seen at training yet, a real good buzz about the players and whilst we are down on numbers, the overall spirit was superb.

The missing included the likes of: SWP, Kompany, Benjani and Petrov

The moving gingerly and working with the fitness coaches were: Bojinov, Ireland and Bridge, can't really think they will be fit for Thursday, but who knows.

One of the senior coaches enthused that Petrov had a really good 45 minutes last night, could he make the bench Thursday?

Robbie was up to his usual antics which were very entertaining, the bigger the crowd watching, the better Robbie is. Studge was looking sharp, as was Mark Bowen!

Not really too much happening today on the training front, the usual drills and attack and defence drills but i think they are nervous about how many are currently on the treatment table.

They fly out tomorrow morning and couldn't be in better spirits.

Thx for the update mate, as ever excellent. Any news on Johno? Was he out there. Could do with him back soon seeing as Kompany and Ireland don't look fit.

just a quick question, we all know he works on channel 5 as a pundit/commentator, but does danny mills actually train with the first team? or has he just sacked it all off?

He's got a long-term injury or something hasn't he?

Or maybe a 'long-term injury'.

NMT - since hughes took over have you seen much progression in training from the start till now?

i mean does it look like his training methods, or one on one coaching is very effective and the players are improving?

id ask you how hughes' training compare's to svens so called lazy training but im not sure how long you have been going to watch?!

cheers NTM
