Training Today, Friday 29th

Nice one Neil, good to see you down there again with the other "regular"...

Just got back from Mcr and all I can add is that Glauber Berti DOES exist and trained with the first team. Yes Hart was practising crosses from the touch line and he and Kasper were arsing about as usual... I reckon Given will be a great addition to the MCFC 'keepers union and should bring some maturity and experience to the group. Like we said down there, Hart and Kasper need a role model to work and compete with, it's fine having Hitchcock telling them what to do and work on but another thing entirely having a world-class keeper to show and demonstrate the art.

The "good morning" from Robi was genuine, class and much appreciated.. The lad's dad looked more excited by it than the boy himself actually but it was a nice touch and shows the confidence that he has. He was larking about with Elano as per and all the South American's stayed out a bit longer to have a play around with the ball but wandered in soon after. It was a very short session, but good humoured in the cold and drizzle...

The reserves were having a pretty intensive session round the corner and were still there when I left playing a full game. Boj looked fairly sharp and was fully involved but I have to say Dunnie didn't seem that up for it and his touch and passing were woeful. One who did stand out, especially with his white hair, was Ryan McGivern who looked quick, skilful and really up for it... At 18 he's definitely one for the future and should in a few of years be pushing Bridge for the left-back spot.

Not sure if they train Mondays, Neil's the man for that info, but it's definitely worth getting down there to get up close and see them.. I got there at about 11 and they came out a few minutes after that. Apparently they do come out earlier sometimes but I reckon when it's cold and there's a press conference, they wait as long as possible for it to get as warm as it can...? You can't get inside the complex itself and have to park in the lay-by opposite Sale RFU's site and walk through the car park, through the trees and stand behind the fence. There's not loads of room but it's sheltered and there's always someone around to about talk all things City to. There was a photographer down there too today, so there'll probably be some shots appearing in a tabloid soon.

Looking forward to tomorrow, hoping for a win obviously but if we don the "tin-hats" and get stuck in we can make some ground up on the teams ahead of us...

Over and Out!

Afternoon all

Just a quick report on the training this morning.

First news was that SWP and Zab both trained, it didn't seem a heavy session and it started later as they are travelling down to Stoke this afternoon, Sturridge was out with a fitness coach and they were bombing crosses into Hart from the touchline no other missing bodies that I didn't notice.

Interestingly, Dunne, TBH, Boj and Etuhu were all training with the reserves as it seems they won't be involved with the first team at the moment.

Just a point to mention that when the group came over towards where we were standing, there were about 4 or 5 of us standing there, they all trotted past, but one made a point of saying hello, Robinho, class act. A lad was there with his little lad and Robbie made a point of giving him a wave, now I know it's nowt to do with the training and probably doesn't interest most of you but I thought it needed mentioning because that is good PR and sometimes the rest can learn from him.

Anyway, had to leave early as the ayatollah needed me back for something, so I will pass the rest of the session to my co-reporter 1.61034

Thanks for the comments chaps, it's good watching them enjoy the training as has been mentioned, there's something comforting about watching them as we all read the tosh written and to see it first up is even better.

Will keep popping down, as often as I can, but i must get a job soon! or so she who must be dis-obeyed says. lol!

Nah, balls to that, this is better than working!
