Transfer policy after today ?

It'd be great if we bought some players who never have an off day...

The Shiekh to Mancini: Right then .. (pulls out cheque book) .... how much you need for that De Rossi and who ever else you wanna buy during the January Sales ?

I'm not sure there's such thing as a footballer who never has an off day.

Except Tom Cleverley of course but he's worth more than our owners can afford.

Defoe would be a good short term signing, knows how to score and has premiership expirience.

Joke, right?

Sadly, I think he meant it....lol.

I'm sure he has championed the 'talents' of the shite Defoe in the past. I'd rather get Guidetti back than have that bag of shite Defoe.

On Topic....the only player I think could well come to City is De Rossi and that's only because De Jong is looking like he may go by the summer. It's feasible that we buy another player too, especially if we get rid of the disease called Tevez.

We don't need another forward, our strikers are capable of putting chances away, when they get the service.

I think we do need another but it doesn't have to be a top class striker necessarily. We need another simply in the event of even one of our three getting injured. Say we played two forwards as we so often do and the third is injured - who is the fourth natural forward we can call on if needed? Yes we can shuffle and play Yaya or Silva further forward, but we still need at least four forwards. United have eight by my count (Rooney, Berbatov, Welbeck, Hernandez, Owen, Macheda [just gone on loan], Diouf, Keane), we have just three available as Guidetti, Bunn, and Scapuzzi are out on loan and we have no one else over the age of 17.

We often play with just one "main striker" the chances of all 3 being unavailable are quite remote, if anything a goalscoring midfielder a la Lampard of a few yrs ago would be handy.

But more and more we've been playing with two this season - two of Balo, Dzeko, and Aguero. We have started with one on occasion (like today) but our premium team usually has Aguero starting alongside one of the bigger strikers and that's why I think we're short. Look at the other week, we lost both left-backs in a blink of the eye, what if we lost two strikers and only had one available for a couple of games - risky business and that's why we need more, even if it means recalling Scapuzzi from loan just in case.

Well yeah I know what your sayin, but you're talkin bout back up players, the thread appears to be sayin we need to buy players cos the ones we have aren't good enough after today..

I think its all very much about keeping it quiet regarding transfers.. expect 50m to be spent in January with 50m coming from Tevez, Kolo and Johnson. Thats what i am predicting!

Johnson just signed a new deal .. he wont go this Jan. Kolo MIGHT go in Summer probably but the Tevez defo gotta go no matter what even for a few ££££, and not on loan to AC (All Cnuts) Milan!

Johnson signing a new deal does not mean he won't be sold in January. Kolo might go in January or the Summer or he may see out his contract.
