Look at the Arshavin deal. He ain't going to Arsenal and is stuck in London. If City want to buy him, we can't. He can't fly out of London.
That is the exact circumstance in which an extension could be allowed. Talks still going on with the FA, FIFA etc.
Mike Foster, General Secretary of the Premier League has just been on Sky Sports saying it COULD be extended 24 hours.

Don't get excited guys the chap from the Premier League was on earlier stating the extension if granted was only to allow teams who are already in the process of signing players ie Spuds with keane to get the necessary paperwork concluded, and not for teams to suddenly go out and buy players from scratch.

Confirmed as along as e-mail confirmation is receieved from both clubs involved.
And the FA feel that snow has effected the transfer I think a 24hrs extension!
