Transferring 8mm Camcorder tapes to PC

Looking for an easy way to transfer some old 8mm tapes to DVD via PC - or even just to upload to PC ? Camcorder is an old one which has standard 3.5mm jack with red and wite composite lead as output - My Graphics Card, I imagine, doesn't support Video In option (its a basic S3 ProSavage DDR thingy)

Would one one of these do the job? Or is there a better alternative?

I'm looking into doing this as i have loads of old Hi8 tapes that i haven't seen for years.

Apparently i can plug my old camcorder into my HD Recorder and it will store it on the HD. From there i can burn it onto DVD i guess.
