Just try as soon as the turnstile opens is my guess. It’s probably just updated automatically and it is down to the person who bought the ticket to download it before your mate uses it but whether that download disables the original pass I’m not sure.can anyone help with this one-
my mate bought a ticket for the spurs game from one of these 3rd party sites he got the ticket and everything was ok apart from the result, This morning a ticket for the derby has apeared in his wallet under the same name different block and seat,he's not been charged, rightly or wrongly he's thinking of using it,could there be problems?

He may not have a seat to sit in if the real ticket holder turns up.
If it were me, I would go and see if anyone was sat in the seat at kick off. If they were, I'd look for another empty seat at 10 minutes into the game and just loiter around at the back.
Will be easier if it's in the south stand rather than one if the others.
Happened to me years ago. My mate got posted 2 tickets for Bolton away from city in the post. We went and it was fine. The 2 whose tickets they were came over to say hello and have a laugh about it because they knew what had happened. They had spoke to city to say their tickets hadn't arrived so they got sent 2 more for different seats.

I have downloaded my season ticket but wondered whether it was possible to download a second ticket on to my phone. My son is unable to go but his sister could use it. Reading all the other posts about transferring, it seems that I missed the window. I figured it might just be easier to have two tickets on my own phone and I could use the ticket more flexible until the next transfer window opens in October. Has anyone else done this and, if so, am I missing something fundamental that might cause me an issue.

Only 1 of us going tomorrow so I try and put my sons on transfer but it won’t let me.
Though I can do it on mine but I need to keep up attendances up in case they want to take off me at end of season.

Yes but it’s not the point really. It’s the principal.gone from watching shit over the years paying in gate to this debacle. Il see how this season goes but maybe time to let go . Always thought I would be attending even in twilight years but my love for city is gradually being diluted. I’m sure someone will take my place unless we go on another downward spiral and well then that won’t be my problem .But if you aren’t bothered about getting money back then your son’s mate could just buy a membership for £25/£35 and get to see a game which is good value compared to someone who is buying their tickets directly.
I appreciate there’ll be some where this £35 is a problem to find but from a business perspective for a fan buying it they probably then feel the need to purchase more tickets directly per season to justify buying the membership.

This is the issue I had yesterday with my mate, I told him to buy a membership and then it work.I have multiple friends and family in my relationships on the city website and everytime i try and transfer it says the person is assigned too many tickets but doesnt explain what that means, it just simply wont let me do anything with the ticket.

Maybe I’m just lucky. Various reasons why I couldn’t be a season ticket holder until I was in my forties so I do perhaps have a different view on things and still enjoy the matchday experience.
