So attempting to transfer a napoli ticket tonight to a paid up member, my daughter is in the cup scheme but cannot attend, i have sat for 1/2 hour trying to work it out, and my account literally has no options to transfer or exchange tickets if i wish to in the future. Anyone else in the same boat, absolutely tired of City's crap ticketing procedures, something that was so simple, now impossible, and they wonder why we have empty seats.

I was transferring mine this afternoon but it wouldn’t let me. The site told me that the lad I was transferring it had got too many tickets assigned (he hasn’t got any assigned).
I’ve just gone back on and there are absolutely no options to transfer or exchange ANY tickets.
Just when you think the ticketing can’t get any worse…

It’s beyond atrocious, its embarrassing

Wondering if it’s because they’ve already got the ticket money off me so they’d rather sell another one themselves.
Only trouble is, the lad I sit with has traversed to his nephew and I’m trying to send mine to his 12 year old son. It’ll be great if they can’t sit together!!

It's quite simple, they only want YOU in the stadium using your ticket, because they want to know exactly who is in the stadium (some sort of H&S bollocks).

For league games you can put your ticket on the ticket exchange (so they can sell it), for CL, LC, and FAC, this is no longer an option, they've emailed us all about it, there was an option to transfer a league game to a member who isn't a season card holder, so long as you registered them by a certain date, but they had to have a customer number, and be on your friends and family list by that date.

Why even offer the transfer option then?

You'll need to ask them not me. I agree it's pathetic.

My missus has used my son's ticket for years if he's not been able to go, he has given mine to his mates when I couldn't go. Now all we can do is put them on the ticket exchange, if one of us can't go, so now they get to sell 2 tickets instead of 1.

First time since the late 70’s when I’m genuinely thinking of throwing it in.
Lived in Suffolk for 30 years, kept season ticket. Bought one for my 11 year old son, he’s now 29, lives in Sussex and still has a ST.
I’ve since moved a bit nearer (Cambridgeshire) and do the cup schemes as well as have a ST and the only time I’ve thought of stopping is through this shit show of ticketing rules.
Shambles doesn’t come close to describing it.

In theory you can transfer CL tickets but only if you are on the CL Cup scheme. From mancity.com...

*Ticket Transfer can be used for Cup Matches, however this is only available to Season Ticket Member on the Cup Schemes. If you're not on the Cup Schemes you will not be able to transfer your Cup match tickets."

Only this isn’t true, so far as the Champions league goes.
See Napoli.
Buy 4 tickets and send email to whoever you want. We don’t need their details, just the cash as we’ve got 10,000 spare seats and realised we’ve buggered up.
Embarrassing from the club, it really is.

Funnily enough. Have a ticket for 2 matches in the next 8 weeks.. but taking a son at a time.. When I bought them only 1 kid had a membership. Now my younger one has a membership tried to transfer and no joy. Emailed the club on Monday, no reply. They don't want to help me

There was a deadline date for registering people on your friends and family, if you missed that it's tough as fas I can see.

It was all posted on here at the time, because I asked a mate to get a number, so I could add him, but they never responded to his request in time (not sure they have even now).

Thanks. I cannot find anything about that on the website and that's why people like us get so frustrated. Appreciate these heads up I can plan accordingly

They did email season card holders (and I assume members), but the email wasn't very clear to me. I did try and work it out, but I think lots felt it was complicated, and many probably didn't really read it.

And, I’m on it!

Seasoncard holder - in all cup schemes. After the United game, I won't be able to go to a game for seven weeks (never been in this situation in my fifty-odd years of going to our games). Of the games I'll miss, I can't see any way that I can transfer my Napoli and Dortmund tickets to Friends and Family or, alternatively, put those tickets on the exchange. E-mailed City on Monday 8 Sept - no reply yet. Any advice would be welcomed.

I tried on my account and it seems like it will work. I didn't click all the way through though.

The options are My Account / Tickets. Then when you are in Tickets, you should see a list of all the games with check boxes. If you click the check box, 3 boxes come up: Donate, Exchange, Transfer. If I click Transfer, I then get my Friends and Family members. I didn't select them because I don't want to go any further but it looks like the club thinks its Cup Scheme members should be able to transfer to friends and family or transfer these tickets. If these options don't come up for you, I would ring Supporter Services. An alternative might be to go to the Supporter Services offices before the Derby if the queues look OK. Good Luck.
