Transfers for Prem and CL squad

For the Champions league we need 6 Local trained players (England and Wales) they have had to go thru a youth system for at least 3years before they are 21, no problem there, but 3 of them have had to go thru our own youth system, if SWP goes we only have 2 with 2 places remaining in our squad (3 places if Tevez goes) so we will have to draft at least one of our own long term youngsters and name him in the CL squad. So that leaves only one more signing after Nazri (if we get him). We look like we need at least one more quality midfielder.
Preferably one with pace.

Boyata, Richards and Hart cover the academy training 3 (right?).

The pacey midfielder is definitely imminent. My bet is Mata but it's probably going to be a far more inconspicuous signing.

IMO you have this wrong
Minimum 4 Association trained players
Minimum 4 club trained players

Barry, Lescott etc would be Association trained, SWP Weiss would be club trained. You are correct in saying there are only two spots available for new players three if Tevez leaves. If SWP leaves we will only submit an A list of 24 players, if SWP and Weiss leave it will be an A list containing 23 players. SWP has a squad place guaranteed if he wishes to stay and that is what Bert mentioned in his interview, same with Weiss, same with Richards.

At the moment as I see it the four club trained players are

SWP
Weiss
Richards (No chance of being sold or left out)
Eirik Johansen (Goalkeeper)

These players all went on tour, while Ned didn't. If any of the outfield players left and there are rumours on SWP (to be sold) Weiss on loan and if Bert gave Ned another chance he has a spot. In the ridiculous situation we were to re sign either Barton or Sturridge and Weiss and SWP left they could have a spot just as easily. IMO SWP will leave and we will have a squad of 24 players on the A list. For CL Balotelli and Savic don't count as under 21s.
