I can’t recall but isn’t the story is City went to Valencia and asked to buy both Villa and Silva but Valencia said no.

Villa wanted to go to Barcelona and he did.

I think it was the other way around wasnt it? Garry Cook done a feature with Sky about his time as the CEO of the club and said that Valencia offered us Silva and Villa as a package but Mancini only wanted Silva.

My bad. I think you are right. This was the case.

It’s just like when River Plate offered us both Alvarez and Enzo and we said no. Just Alvarez please and thank you.

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say that it was because of Aguero but we got him by Khaldoon being mates with the Atletico DoF who essentially begged us to buy him so Real wouldn't.
