I happen to believe he’s an overrated Dipper **** who is picking up injuries, pushing 28 and incapable of defending against any half decent opponents.

He’s a very good player. You don’t start for Klopp week in week out if you’re not very good.

Clearly, he’s an attacking full back where his forward attributes outweigh what he offers defensively, but his delivery is so good that it makes him a stand out performer.

With a player like Haaland waiting in the box, it would be like a return of the old De Bruyne delivery coming in. It’s something which Liverpool have missed majorly this season as he was often that deep lying threat when teams were cramped in their own box.

He’d also fit into the formation Pep often plays where we have one of the full backs almost playing like a wing back whilst the rest of the defence converts to a back 3. In the past we’ve seen Gvardiol used in this capacity but AA would be another level of attacking intent entirely.

Genuinely don’t see that Trent is any better than Rico at defending, don’t see it at all. So much so that he can’t get a kick for England or Madrid, when he doesn’t have VVD covering for his flaws.

If Klopp couldn’t sort his defending out then Pep won’t either. But we don’t need him to. This drop in quality when Nunes is unavailable is more about the lack of quality right back options in the squad full stop. Nunes has improved but isn’t good enough to start for us at the level we are aiming to get back to. Trent in this team would elevate the attack to a whole new level. We won 6 league titles largely by having a much better attack than everyone else. Trent is an unreal footballer and going forward he would replace what Haaland has lost with KDB.

Why isn't Nunes good enough? What is he lacking to be deemed good enough? When has he shown he cannot hack it against the better opposition. At the emirates, at the bernabeu? You've just claimed he isnt good enough without offering any reason for those claims when the last 12 months of evidence would suggest he is more than good enough and has been one of our standout players.
