Trespassers on rails in Manchester

No idea what went on but there was definitely more to it than “ A trespasser “

The Evening News were reporting that approx 40 police were milling around Levenshulme Station and a local church was sealed off, with nobody allowed to come or go.

You don’t get all that shit because some pisshead has decided to take a short cut home across the tracks.

I went through the area yesterday afternoon on the train from Stafford.
Initially, on arrival at Wilmslow we were routed into the Didsbury bound platform as the Stockport lines were blocked at Slade Lane Junction by the trespasser.
He must of then moved onto the Didsbury lines, as our train had to set back then head towards Stockport.
Our train was cautioned through the affected area at Slade Lane, and there were Police officers all over the tracks, and a man standing on a bridge parapet close to Asda.
I'm not sure why the incident took so long to resolve, but there was clearly some sort of "stand off".
