Trevor Francis RIP

I went to see City play Coventry away 12th December 1882 we won 1-0 (Tueart).

I went as a guest of the Coventry Physio (George??) and had access to the Players lounge after the game. Trevor Francis walked in with a stunning Blonde on one arm and a beautiful brunette on the other, both dripping in gold and looking stunning. I have his autograph somewhere.

The only other outstanding feature was the entrance of Bond... Kevin Bond. He entered with a nice girl on his arm and a Deerstalker hat, was unreal.

RIP Trevor. We will all miss you.
You're doing well for your age.

Very Sad news, remember going to his first game at Stoke like it was yesterday, A really great player who stood out in our side at the time,
That idiot Swales said we couldnt afford to keep him yet the truth was we couldnt afford to sell him.

Such unexpected and sad news. For those of us of a certain age, Trevor Francis was an iconic footballer. 4 goals on his debut as a 16 year old, first million pound footballer, immortalised in the title song for Only Fools and Horses, scoring the winner in the European Cup Final and City's star player when, very briefly, he underpinned our rise to the top of the first division. A thoroughbred footballer blessed with tons of skill.
RIP.

Fantastic talent. RIP.
The real story, straight from one of the horses that was involved in meeting Clough and agreeing the signing was …we couldn’t afford to buy him in the first place.

Awful news ...like many on here I was at Stoke when he made his debut for us.. everyone could see we had signed a genuine top class player.

R.I.P Trevor you will never be forgotten by those that had the good fortune to see you play for City
