2 days after the Boxing Day win at Anfield, Francis scored a goal he described as one of his best v Wolves to put us top of the league in front of 40,000 at MR (we finished 10th!)
I have always been gutted too that there doesn’t seem to be any TV coverage anywhere of his debut at Stoke.

Very sad to read of the passing of Trevor Francis, recall him destroying Brighton at Maine Road. His 1979 transfer fee, adjusted for football inflation (revenue increases over time as a measure of purchasing power) would be £253.5 million today. That’s how good he was.

Ah that's sad, must still have been in his 60s. I know it didn't really work out with us but I was well excited when he signed.

RIP Tricky Trevor

When he was fit to play for us, he was awesome - the ridiculously quick explosive change of direction pace. While he didn't have the physical strength attributes of Mbappe, he definitely had the same crazy ability to have the ball under total control at top speed and change direction at incredible pace. Terrible time for his loved ones. RIP Trevor.
