trevor francis

Scored against Stoke the last time I missed a home League game in January 1982. First man I ever saw with a sun-tan, but sadly, he never played against the rags. He was never City's biggest fan after leaving, but what a player! Wouldn't wish a heart attack on anyone so hope he recovers soon...

I was at Maine Road the day he signed and he was one of the best players ever to pull on the blue shirt. I was also at stoke that day. If memory serves 12,000 blues made the trip. Great day.

Get well soon Trev.

If that's the game I think it is (his debut at Stoke?), I'm in there somewhere!
*Starts looking for big, curly hair*

Get well soon, the original ''Tricky'' Trev.

Me to. It was spot the Stoke fan that day. If memory serves our long unbeaten run came to an end shortly after at Bristol ? Maybe wrong, I've slept a lot since then...:)
The place was swamped with blues that day. Glorious hot, sunny day (early september IIRC), and we won 3-1, Phil Boyer getting the perpetually overlooked ''other goal''.
My first away game, attendance dropped by 10,000 when he went, different class, get well soon

Aside from his skills and great goals I remember him as

The only player I have seen leave the pitch for a toilet break.

Plus remember him advertising on Piccadilly Radio all week to come n watch a family game v Everton.

Then gets sent off for headbutting Billy Wright.

Hope his recovery is as quick as he was on the pitch.

Never forget him bollocking me!

As a young kid around 81/82, I was autograph hunting pre-match outside the main stand. TF pulled up to be dropped off and I ran into Maine Road to be the first at the passenger door. He gave me the mother of all bollockings and a lesson in the highway code in front of 20 or so other like minded junior blues!!

He just ran past me & refused to give me his autograph....my Mother went mad lol.
Luckily Big Joe came past just after & gave Francis a dirty look & signed my book & waited patiently whilst my Mother tried to work out how to use a camera....the photo is still on my Mothers wall.
Get well soon Trevor
