Tribute to dead US airmen in Sheffield

He's been very clear it's not about him, but the emotion on display is obviously genuine. He should be proud of himself, sometimes journalists do good things.

Yes fair play to walker. Comes across as a really nice guy, remember him interviewing an 80 odd year old women from England who’d gone out to Brazil for the Olympics a few years back, he was gob smacked when she was telling him about her triathlons!!

Great story. For his dedication for all those years Tony deserves some recognition. An honest and honourable man who has never forgotten those brave men paid the ultimate sacrifice to safe the lives of many including the children, of which he was one, playing in the park. MBE...maybe...more deserved than Victoria Beckham merit to fashion?

I loved his beachfront alternative Olympics presenting. It was so informal and low key, but a guy who was very, very good at his job.

Excellent work by Dan Walker and yes its clearly NOT about him but about Tony and those 10 airmen - tell you what when Walker went to Tanzania filming for Comic Relief he was prepared to witness things that moved him to tears - but not necessarily something from his hometown !
