The FA cup is definitely smaller than the one they had on the trophy tour in Cape Town

From the FA Cup Rules below...as I saw the FA Cup after March 1st it may have been a copy. I know copies of some cups are reduced sizes anyway. Was the Cape Town visit before March 1st?


30. THE FA CUP / FINALIST MEDALS
(a) The FA Cup is the property of The Association. When the winning Club has been ascertained,
The Association shall loan the Cup to such Club, which shall be responsible for its return to
The Association on or before the first day in March in the ensuing year in good order and
condition. The Association reserves the right to request the return of the Cup at any time by
giving seven days’ notice. Should the Cup be lost, destroyed or damaged by fire or any other
cause whilst under the care or custody of the Club the Club shall refund to The Association
the amount of its current insured value or the cost of thorough repair in addition to any other
penalty which the Professional Game Board may impose.
(b) In addition to The FA Cup, The Association shall present 40 medals to playing staff and
officials of both Clubs in the Final.

It was after the 1st but the tour had been going on for weeks

Our fantastic club brought all 5 to my house last weekend, unbelievable!

They're in the West entrance/Colin Bell, every game, with just a replica of the FA Cup. Probably there all week, to be fair. Starting to think the window decor is also to protect them from sunlight.

I think it was the World thingymabob one that was damaged. As the guy said to me they do so much travelling around and could really do with being in transparent cases.
You’re not allowed to touch or they’ll take them away immediately apparently.

Monton Bowling Club. It’s a while since it was Brown Cow I think. Before my time.
It was in the Park Pub when I first joined and it’s travelled a bit in the intervening years. :-)

It doesn't really matter. If you've been keeping up with comments on various clubs' forums, you'll know by now that they mean nothing as we won them all by cheating. Do yourself a favour, and take the dog for a walk instead.
