Bit weird that timing wise they're saying people at the parade won't be able to also attend the Coop... Surely the people in the Coop make up a very large amount of people that would actually be at the parade. Doesn't seem very well thought through to me.

Hope the event is great and glad that we will be celebrating all the fantastic achievements though.

When we won the FA Cup in 2011 they did a parade that went up to the Etihad for an ‘after party’ thing at the ground.

I think that was the last time they did this?

It's a good job I've got that tin hat on. I remember pissing myself when liverpool did a parade for the fa and league cup double in 2022. I worry that what we've achieved, as great as it is, will not be enough to line the streets from town to the Etihad and fill the coop arena. It feels like we're setting ourselves up for a fail.

Exactly, we could have millions of people lining the streets 10 deep for the whole route & the sad little rags and Dippers who have never been to a game and are sat in their mums spare bedroom would find a photo where the open top bus was just pulling out of the depot with nobody about,

I kind of agree with you, to be honest. But the women deserve their day in the sun. As to what the next 8 days may, or may not, bring; who knows?

The women are on the brink of the double, the Youth team have won the double. With at least two trophies for the men this is unprecedented. No club in history has done this at all levels. It’s fantastic for the whole city.
