Trouble in the North Stand second tier vs United

I've been to games as a tourist all over the word, never had an issue. However I'm always aware of what end I'm in and generally & generally don't give much of a toss about the result.
Get that - but you understand the game.
People coming to the UK and doing these trips clearly don't.
I've seen quite a few rock up at our place with bags from the swamp. I've even seen a kid in a full Trafford kit, luckily it was a kid and we weren't playing them lot on that occasion.
I don't think there's anything the club can do - but the organisers really need to be sending warnings to people for their own sake

I’ve said previously when I come to the Etihad someday I hope I get to sit next to a long term fan to hear all the stories and have a true experience! My friends sat next to a long term West Ham fan when they saw a Hammers game in London and had such a good time, they all follow West Ham quite closely now.
I hope when you do come to the Etihad you’ve not got people on both sides of you who suddenly disappear after 80 minutes!

At the match or in general related to football?

GMP got the lad who threw the smoke bomb on the pitch. He‘s been charged.

  • 5 on suspicion of drug offences
  • 5 on suspicion of assault
  • 2 on suspicion of tragedy chanting
  • 1 on suspicion of possession of a firework/flare at a sporting event and throwing a missile onto a football playing area. He was charged with this offence yesterday (Monday March 4) and bailed with conditions.
Adam McNally (14/08/1993) of Bullcote Green, Royton, has been charged with possession of a firework/flare at a sporting event and throwing a missile onto a football playing area.

He has been bailed with conditions.

Was in the Chaddy end when Megson scored.I was screaming inside with joy. It's not something I enjoyed and felt totally out of my comfort zone.
I was in the chaddy end that day it was full of blues , we got escorted round to the Rochdale rd end

For those on drug offences, was that at the ground with the sniffer dogs?

Idiotic with the smoke bombs, I hope they got the right person though. I've seen a smoke bomb thrown at my feet and then I've moved it on, that said with it going so far on the pitch its clear who the culprit is.

Anyone wearing an half and half scarf is asking for trouble
They are on sale at every City game irrespective of the opposition.
We have dickheads supporting us who were happy to wear the bloody things at the FA Cup semi-final and final v the rags. There were too many wearing them for them all to be tourists.

Took my American missus then girlfriend to a City match at Chelsea in the '80s and went in the "posh" seats for safety, or so we thought. Right after kick-off City almost scored and I jumped up, as you do. Next minute a middle-aged Chelsea Neanderthal with a National Front tattoo lurched along the seats and warned "oy, you do that agen and you're both feckin' dead." Near the end of the match with City losing heavily a police inspector came over and said for your own safety either leave now or stay behind till the animals have cleared out.

NY Yankees fans in the bleachers won't tolerate anyone else., especially not NY Mets or Boston. From my own experience supporting the Mets at the old Shea Stadium (R.I.P) a loudmouth St. Louis fan who had been giving it large all afternoon went to the bar and came back to his seat with a cardboard box loaded with beers & hotdogs. Coming down the steps to his row it must have been hard to see where he was going over the box and his belly, certainly he didn't see the foot stretched out in the aisle that the dumbass tripped over. To his credit, I suppose, he went back and got more beers and hotdogs rather than try to retrieve them from the floor.
I’ve been in the bleachers watching the Yankees. Believe me mate, even our family stand is far, far rougher and tougher! If all the St Louis fan had to worry about is a seat full of beer cans and hotdogs,….well honestly,… tell the St Louis fan to try singing Utd songs in the South stand at the Etihad. I promise he’d have more than hot dogs on his seat to worry about.
