Trying to remember a City goal...

Reijnders' goal against Wolves reminded me of a goal from City's past, but I can't remember which one - it's driving me mad.

Everything happens in almost exactly the same way for both goals.

The ball is played through for a run down the left channel, the goalscorer shoots with the inside of his left foot just as the defender lunges in to tackle, the ball goes into the far corner, and the goalscorer falls forwards onto both his hands before picking himself back up to celebrate.

The goal is scored in the net to the right of the TV camera, as though it's pointing towards the South Stand at the Etihad. Although, part of me thinks the goal was either scored away from home or at Maine Road...

I just can't remember which specific goal it is. Any help?

De Bruyne versus Arsenal 2017/18 at the Etihad first goal in a 3-1 win?

But I also have this nagging feeling for a Darren Huckerby one.

It's not that one, De Bruyne doesn't fall after striking it.

Thought it could be his first of the 4 against Wolves, as he leathers it in the same corner Reijnders did with his left, doesn't fall though.

Any idea how long ago it would have been @youngbob? What era etc...

You're right KDB's versus Wolves is an even better shout than my Arsenal one - well remembered.

It's a little bit like agueros goal in the 6-1 demolition 2011/12.

The finish (rather than the build up) was a little bit like Aguero breaking the City goal scoring record Napoli and maybe Arsenal away in the League Cup

I'm starting to think that my brain has combined Foden's solo goal against Brighton in 2021, at the Amex, with something else.
