I believe if we leave transfers to hughes the club will move forward at a good pace champs league by 11/12 we dont need too rush because once we are there we will dominate football because we will literally have a choice of anyone, let hughes do his job his buys so far have been superb

I totally agree. I rather see the club growing stronger consistently.
no more yo yo seasons anymore.
just buy quality players as needed since we can outbid most clubs,
no need to buy big names now just to boost reputation or ego.

keep moving up season after season till we reach the top.
also it will keep us happy week in week out if we keep improving during this process.
rather than seeing big names flop.

There is more pride this way when we are at the top.

Alright then. What about 3 years? This is 08/09. Even with my dodgy maths skills, I make that 3 years. And if you're talking about actually playing CL in season 11/12, that would mean playing the first group game in September 2011, which is little over two and a half years away. So I'm not sure where you get the 4 years from.

Kaka would of been a sensational signing but it would of been a signing that wasnt a priority.

We all know we need a top centre back,a couple of top midfielders and a top striker.

How about Agger,De Rossi,De Jong and Villa,and if we are being greedy Diego or Arshavin aswell.

add that to what we already have and we have
