Tube Station for Wembley

Do not use the tube....it's horrendous, packed sweaty and takes for ever. Do what all experienced Wembley fans do....get the direct service from Marleybone Station, it's run by Chiltern trains and doesn't stop anywhere until Wembley.
The queues after the game are fairly big, but they go down incredibly fast.
The station is just next to the Stadium on the way to Wembley Central

Trust me...you'll never use the tube again (to and from Wembley)

Didn't get the Tube to Wembley last time, so just wondered if they allocate one station to home fans and another to away fans, or is it a free for all?
As far as I am aware, they don't allocate any particular station to either set of fans (could be wrong on that, but I'm not aware of any guidelines). I used Wembley park for the final and semi final two years back and saw rags and Stoke fans using it. Took this when I was heading to the stadium (it was pretty early in the day, hence the lack of people around);

That sounds a lot better, but unfortunately I'm getting a bus into Victoria, so only have a choice of Tube or bus to get to the stadium. Out of those two, I'd rather take the tube than spend hours on a bus there!

Wembley Central it is!

Wembley Park if you want to do the walk up Wembley Way.

Wembley Central is about 500m from the 'City End' of the stadium. The High Street has plenty of pubs and fast food.

To confuse things even more 'Wembley Central' is also a train station Watford Junction -Euston.

The station right by our end is 'Wembley Station' which is served by trains from Marylabone - High Wycombe.

The Metropolitan line takes you from Baker Street to Wembley Park with just one stop at Finchley Road. Not a problem.

Getting there may be easy on the tube, but its the journey back to London I was really referring to. The fast train to Marleybone is close to the stadium and the queues go down very quickly.
I'm not doing either this time, coach to the Green man :-D

Has anyone got any experience of parking and getting the train or tube. Any advice about where to park would be appreciated.
Park somewhere on the northern outskirts like Watford, Ruislip, High Wycombe, and tube or train to Wembley from there. Will save you loads of time getting away.

This is best route back into central London afterwards. Piece of piss, did it after the 2011 final. No stops, we were already back ballooning in Trafalgar Square while 20,000 blues were still queuing on Wembley Way.

-- Thu Apr 04, 2013 7:49 pm --
