Tunnel bust-up after derby

Very clever by moureen. All the press have talked about is the incident after the game. it took the pressure off him and his players about what actually happened on the pitch. We all know what they did and how spineless they set up. It takes someone special to accept defeat honourably and special he is not!
It"s a myth this. Whether people talk about their performance or not it doesn't change the fact that they were shit. And it hasn't affected how they've played in the subsequent games which has been marginally less shit.

Maybe a bit of pressure to play good football is what they need.

It's also a complete myth that it stopped people talking about the match - if anything it did the opposite.

I've never known such a widespread negative reaction to a United game, there were 4 or 5 articles about the match in every paper, and every single time the post match stuff was brought up, so was the cowardly performance and how far back they are.

It also seemed to win us a fair few neutral fans who despise United or Mourinho or both.

Think you’re giving him too much credit. I don’t think he cleverly manufactured this incident. I believe he was gutted to hear our players enjoying their win & couldn’t contain himself. He’s that sort of egotistical idiot.

Yes. There was a very good article in one of the newspapers in the Irish republic yesterday about Mourinho, calling him the spoilt one. Its case was that he's a failed player who has never gone through the rough and tumble of the game, never learnt any humility and still spits his dummy out when he loses. It could not believe that a PL manager could get so wound up by a victorious team's celebrations but chronicled his other disgraceful episodes and his totally unrepentant reaction. Although it cannot condone such behaviour it did say it could sympathise with anyone who "smacked him in the gob" or "filled in his face hole". I must read the Irish papers more regularly because this article was certainly the most colourful but by no means the only one to take this theme.

Sounds like my kind of article!!! Can’t stand the obnoxious, self centred oaf and what’s more I don’t think that deep down, the rag bosses like him. They were forced into getting a “name” when we appointed the best manager in the world because it showed them up - especially after the Moyes & LVG disasters. Moaning Jose is not really doing them any favours.

Disagree with the first two sentences. His “mind games” have long been nothing but playground shite, except to sycophantic hacks and gullible followers.

On this occasion he was rumbled by more people than ever before. It backfired, pure and simple.
