The cartoon thingy they showed of the oggy? Was that provided by the guys in the VAR shed or the broadcaster 'cos the ball looked further over the line in the cartoon than it did in real time. I've often thought the cartoon had been fiddled with to show a player offside when he appeared on!

Quite similar to Alexander-Arnold, really. Incredible delivery, but not good enough at taking on players to be a winger, and not good enough at quick passing and shielding the ball to be a central midfielder. So he ends up at fullback despite obvious defensive flaws, because that's where it's easiest to cover for him while still getting to enjoy his strengths.

She was essentially the only officiating analyst calling out big mistakes being made in the Champions League last season. She would occasionally defend the referee for some of the less consequential errors, but she didn’t pull any punches for a number of big “errors”, even going so far as saying she hated having to comment on one big mistake (I forget the exact incident but I am pretty sure it was in the Real-Bayern match and benefited Real) because she dislikes having to critique fellow officials, but it was just egregiously wrong.

Makes a nice change from the likes of Gallagher, Johnson, Riley, and Clattenburg that can never seem to criticise their comrades even when they get things demonstrably wrong.

I didn't hear her commenting on that Leao yellow for diving or a Yellow to a Turkish player early on that I thought wasn't even a foul.
