Turky....... should I be worried?

I have never been to Turky before and I am due to go in Oct this year: I have heard a few story's good and bad about the place, and I am starting to get a little worried now:

I have been told that the lads over there will always be trying it on with your woman, and can get a little up-set when they are turned down. My girl friend is quite fit (I did good) long hair blonde with killer legs.

I can see myself getting pissed off with and losing my rag!

This is already not the nice relaxed hoilday I wanted, and any advice on the place would be good.

I'm pretty sure most people go there as couples and come back alive. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Been a couple of times, never had any problems. Yer you get a bit of hassle but I found if you talk back to them rather than ignoring it and if they offer you a menu or anything you take and say summat along the lines of " will come and try it tommorrow" the hassle is much less.

As for them hitting on your girlfriend, take it as a compliment, be more worried if they dont ;-)

The guys over in Turkey usually go for "old,fat and ugly" mingers as it is either their money or a visa into the UK they are after.

I have been for the last 8 years and have never had any problem and that includes when my daughter and her mates have been with us.

about 30% of couples never make it back.
at the aiports they have " hitters" who target young couples and attractive couples who just arrive.
these" hitters" pretend to be reps or taxi drivers who take your fare or say they are going to your hotel.

They drive you to places in the Turkish suburbs and out houses and farm houses and rob you and sometimes kill the couples after raping you both.
The Turkish Government has put a bulletin on our Foreign office " holiday hotspot" destination report.


If you are one of the lucky 70% to make it through the airport and to your hotel, its a fantastic place

fingers crossed for the 70% I have a daugter as well but not taking her with me because of the stuff I have heard thought I would try it out frist. Now that would get me mad she is only 12 but some of the storys the lads have said sound untrue:

I would take it has a compliment if someone said you have a pretty girl friend, but when she can't even go for a piss without some bloke trying it on it will get me and her up-set (maybe not her)?

Loads of people go so can't be as bad as what I am making out? Can it?
