Must have been the burkha that did it. ;-)

I'm a mere kid of 66, and the guy in front of me was given the once over, then I was waved through! Must be my honest face. Mind you, I'm in EL3, and they must have realised that if they stopped me, I wouldn't have had the momentum to get to the top of the spiral.
 
off topic i know, but nearly saw my first punch up in 101 yesterday. Some horrible Everton coves celebrated when they scored and were immediately set upon and then escorted rather shamefacedly from the ground. Silly sausages!
 
This isn't the first time. For the Bournemouth game the queues were huge before the game too. They are insisting on searching every fan on the way in and it's causing huge queues to form.

The sad thing is, this will be the norm from now on.

I don't know what your experience of the search is but when I was given the once over by the metal detector, I just said, phone, keys, coin every time there was a bleep - they didn't check it wasn't gun, bomb, grenade. Seems to be pretty ineffective.

I have clearly explained the reasoning on other posts so wont go over it again. As a starter multiply 5000 by say 400 quid a season. And then factor in a contractor asking you for 60 million to build these extra 5000 seas and the need to move a souveniour shop. Glad it is not you future proofing our stadium if you can't see some logic.

I've missed every kick off this season, got there at 2.35 yesterday ,still missed kick off ,the que for ss3 have been horrendous all season,turnstile N1 is too small with thousands trying to get while next door N2 generally people just stroll up & get in. We should all be able to use N1 & N2.
When I eventual got in had to spend the next 20mins getting up & down for people who just got in themselves.
I get the feeling City dont give a shit.
I can put up with shit food, crap beer, rubbish football, we all have for years, but people being thrown out of their seats for richer people & worse of all taking food & drink off kids so they're forced to buy their overpriced garbage is too much. Being treated like a criminal ,searched ,scanned will be the final straw for me, if City are going to persist in these searches for ever match from now on then this will be my last season, great team or not.
City should try treating their fans with some respect because going to the match now is becoming harder & harder to enjoy.
 
The news that the GPC was at the game will also have contributed to a late surge in demand for tickets no doubt.

It baffles me how we don't have these. Would save spending all half time in a que whilst some fucking idiot takes an hour to pour one pint. Would give them more sales. Would mean more people in seats before and after half time. And would make them more money
