It's not just about your telly though is it? The TV License pays for TV, Radio, BBC website etc.

How many times do you check the BBC News website? Or stick Five Live? Or listen to away commentary on Radio Manchester?
For what you get, it's a good return on money. It's a lot less that a subscription to Sky, and with them you get shite telly and loads of adverts. You probably view or use the BBC in some way or another every day.

Just pay it. I do.

I think if you have equipment capable of receiving a TV signal, you have to have a TV license.

Yes, Sky, cable, Freeview all require you to have a licence
