TV Series

Just finished Happy Valley. Great series that. Lancashire and Norton are such brilliant actors. Anyone who hasn’t watched it, it’s on Netflix and this series on iplayer. Brilliant TV
FWIW I thought the final episode, having thoroughly enjoyed the previous 17, was very very disappointing.

I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but just to say the pacing was absolutely dreadful. You cannot wrap up the whole thing in 5 minutes. Dreadful.

The plot was also full of holes. Really disappointed :-(

Brilliant programme, all three episodes.

The last one could have been ten minutes longer though to tie up a couple of loose ends, such as the chemist getting arrested for murder and the PE teacher off the hook for that.

James Norton was superb throughout, what a contrast from his portrayal as the vicar in Grantchester.

Sarah Lancashire was first class.

I agree great series but the ending was a bit of let down, could‘nt fault the acting though.

Agreed, very average last episode where the rest has been outstanding

Finally finished the last season of Better Call Saul just last night
Perhaps in the middle of it all, the saddest story is Nacho's.
In Netflix's Kaleidoscope, there were a few reference's to Better Call Saul, the one that made me laugh was the news broadcast on the radio describing the storm "Hurricane Ignacio" moving from one state to another in a subtle nod to Ignacio "Nacho" Varga trying to flee in the same direction in the final season of BCS.

The Mrs. and I just finished Halo, the series. I remember seeing a lot of negative reviews about it not long after it came out. What was everyone's problem with it? We really enjoyed it.

Fantastic, haven't felt more like crying since Spurs away.
Loved the bit when they shout hello / hi to each other when she realises he is in the house

The not seeing the chemist getting his downfall and it being explained while Catherine is emptying her desk made the whole plot of that story a bit pointless, plus the PE teacher suddenly having indecent images of pupils on his phone out of no where.

Episode 3 of the last of us stood as a 9.8 on IMDb it now stands at 7.8 as 45k homophobes have given it a 1 rating, reading what some of the people have put in the reviews is so sad
Not sure where that episode stands in the grand scheme of things, but it really was brilliantly done and so enjoyable, some right petty backward thinking little wankers out there.

It was a little disappointing that the teacher and chemist plot was wrapped up in a couple of sentences as it seems they forgot about it and thought wtf shall we do about it. Was looking forward to seeing the finale but was left underwhelmed

One of the things that made Happy Valley gripping over previous series was the constant threat of impending danger to the characters. The copper who murdered his mistress in series two had the writer toying with viewers maybe having empathy for him and his situation then the constant scenario of will or won’t he get away with it. I thought that it was going to play out the same way, however with that much storyline to get through in the final episode of everything else happening it was glossed over.

Poker face loved the first episode

Charlie has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can't help but investigate and solve.
