TV Series

I thought it was the season out the three.
The what? the worst? with that i'd agree. S2 wasnt great either. But wasnt terrible.

S1 was just fantastic. How they could go so downhill (obvs s1 had a pre written story it was based on). A lesson to learn about quitting while ahead in there somewhere.

Never made it past episode 2 of Series 2, the first series was great like you said.

Haha always get ahead myself when typing.

I thought it was the best season out of the three. Good background into how Westworld started up.

I thought it felt completely detached from the other two, with only the odd random token reference and forcefully showhorning in whatever character they could pluck just to justify continued use of the name of the show.

It is interesting, that opinions can differ so much, which is why i guess they can cover enough audience

Watched 1st 4 episodes of Sopranos. Whilst the lead character is compelling I couldn't name you one secondary character, or any sort of plot narrative. Disappointing.

Watched 1st episode of Breaking Bad which was better. Will try episode 2

Have just finished watching all six seasons of The Sopranos for the second time.

This time around, I found the first season as a whole to be a bit underwhelming. But the later ones keep getting better and better and I ended up binge watching it on a fair few occasions.

Finished binge watching white lines. Started off good then turned to shit. It would have made a decent 2 hour film.
Tbf, I found the same thing with money heist, so anyone that liked that will probably disagree and like this.

Have moved on to Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series.

It’s been exceptionally hard going and I almost gave up half way through episode 4. Having stuck with it, more out of loyalty than interest, I finally got hooked thanks to episode 7. All the weirdly diverse storylines and characters started to converge and make a bit more sense. Episode 8 was completely and utterly off-the-wall but from then on it has been immersive.

Have now opted for the unusual step (after episode 10) of going right back to the Season 1 Pilot with the intention of watching the whole three seasons in order. So far, it’s better than I remembered it.

Am no longer teaching but when I first started out all those years ago it was very popular with the older students (Year 10 and above) so I did a whole school assembly pointing out that Agent Cooper was deploying shamanic techniques in his investigation. Not long after that a pupil called Laura Palmer enrolled. Weird, eh?

Anyway, I would only suggest viewing the series to those who know what to expect when it comes to David Lynch. But if you liked the original show I can recommend the revival as long as you are patient with it.

yeah think it was meant to be detached from previous 2 seasons it’s was a season on how they got to westworld with the flash backs and teeing it up for season 4.
