Plenty of plot holes and a bit daft in places,but worth the watch.
Agree, the writing is a little absurd but that is more than made up for by the production values and central performances. Bryan Cranston and the guy that plays the mob boss are particularly good.

He is the least convincing mob boss Ive ever seen. He was better in Boardwalk Empire when he played the exact same role really
 
Just ‘literally’ started the Terror (paused as I was on a call).
Thought it was a new BBC drama but appears it’s made by AMC (Mad Men was my favourite show).
Looks quite dark & moody (music is perfect) so I suspect I’ll enjoy this...
 
...re the Terror, I was struggling to recall where I'd the seen the actor who plays Captain Francis Crozier.
Turns our he's Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris) and played Lane Pryce in Mad Men...

He's been in tons of stuff mate. The Crown and Chernobyl are a couple of others.
