TV Series

There is a 6 part HBO docuseries on Sky called '100 foot wave.' Not your typical surfing documentary by any stretch. It focuses on a 50+ year old big wave surfer who was the first guy to brave the huge Portuguese wave in Nasare. I binged it in a few nights. Recommend!
Was at Nazare this summer as my lads had the boards out there for a week, the lighthouse that is always used as the lookout point for the breaks is like a mini museum and well worth a trip. Ericeira closer to Lisbon is much better for mere mortals to surf and great costal town to stay in.

Whats this stream on if you don't have a Sky TV package?

I'd have to agree. I've missed several years of this but looking forward to getting up to date (if I can source them).
Not only is it truly funny its one of those shows that really satiates my well being...
Is Jeff still involved?

Dexter: films/tv shot in snow or Florida tend to be watchable despite flaws :)

Dexter kind of sat above NCIS and the top notch TV shows for me but I found it so watchable...
Use this matey

And Jeff is still about as the long suffering agent, great character also... I think the development of Leon though steals the show, what a find after 6 seasons in, JB smooth is sublime

I know I have raised it before but just finishes the last episode of Season 2 of 'My Brilliant Friend'. Simply the very best TV I have seen in years and years. Unmissable and exquisite.
I bookmarked this to watch based on your comments at the time and a few other posters and am very glad I did.

The quality of writing is first class and there is a real intensity with the emotions and storyline playing out in every scene and not just with the two main characters, probably the closest you will get to seeing a blueprint into the complexities of the female mind growing up. Hats off to all the actors as well, no weak links here. Already having anxiety attacks about finishing season 2..

I went straight from this to Gomorrah and have just finished the 4 series + film. It was also absolutely excellent and an interesting watch after My Brilliant Friend as it was filmed in similar areas of Naples and followed the story of the Camorra. Although extremely violent it is in the top 2 or 3 things I have watched and eclipses Sopranos in many ways. I sometimes wonder why the hell we cant make this quality in the UK.

Yes love Gomorrah also, however, having spent many summer holidays in Sicily as a kid because of my dad, I can tell you that the Camorra are lightweight JCL impersonators compared to the real deal ;-)
