Anybody got a favourite viewing list of 2021?
For me? I don't rate too much but generally speaking I would put my viewing content as:
=1) 'The Witcher' and 'Loki'.
'The Witcher' was surprisingly good! Creative monsters, more confident in itself as a storyline and, most impressively, Henry Cavill's nuanced shaping of 'Geralt of Rivia'. Just a slight shift that gives the character more depth. Good job.
'Loki' could have gone really bad, so I don't know how the producers managed to put together a really interesting show about an, essentially, ignored step brother of 'Thor'. Kudos to the creating team!
3) 'Mare of Easttown'.
Kate Winslet was exceptional in the lead role. The whole story? A bit meh in the end, so for one actor to hold that show in high regard is some doing.
4) 'The Morning Show'.
Not too much to say about it, but it has been a consistently good show.
5) 'The Chestnut Man'.
Very interesting show and, slightly different than the other run-of-the-mill TV thriller content.
6) 'The Underground Railroad'.
Ultimately, it could have been better, but was still good enough for my own personal list for the year.
