I must be old fashioned because I have a problem liking a tv series without a single likable character. I can't think of anyone in The Sopranos, Breaking Bad or Ray Donavan who has a single redeeming feature.
The main characters and most of the supporting characters are all utter cunts.
I want to watch someone that even if I can't identify with, I will at least like them.

I can see your point here, that's why I haven't been able to get into Breaking Bad I think. I did love the Soprano's though, found it fascinating from beginning to end and you end up really rooting for Tony, even though he's a dick.

Ray Donovan has some redeeming qualities. He protects his family and opts not to kill a lot of people.
Plus he gave Bob a lift home from the beach.

Just finished S1 of Deadwood - love it so far. Was a bit disappointed that Wild Bill wasn't in it for longer.
