The last episode explains everything
It's an absolute masterpiece. The last 2 seasons of that show are absolute fucking brilliance.

The Shield for me is the best show of all time.
I’m a fan of all you’ve listed but The Shield is the only show of it’s time to never hit a bump. From first episode to last it’s consistent and everything had its reasons. Some task. It's outstanding. Was the start of serious TV alongside 24, Lost and Fringe.
Finished it last night, very good. I hope there is more.Watched the first episode of The Responder with Martin Freeman.
I was pretty impressed.
I dont agree mate, all those things are in the TV series. I thought it was well acted and well made. Author Michael Connelly worked on set and actually helped choose Titus to play the part. That is a description of Bosch, not the drip that plays him in the TV show and has no relation to the books
I was hooked on that :)The Shield for me is the best show of all time.

If it wasn’t for you lot on here I would never of heard of it,can’t remember it being advertised either.Something about that era in New York the sleaze, drugs, music, clubs.Even the criminals make me nostalgicI probably dropped The Deuce(see what I did there lol). It’s an absolute sin enough people didn’t see that show.
As Barcon recommended, just go for more David Simon.Finished watching the wire ages ago and came on here for suggestions to watch next.
Whoever it was who said the deuce and treme thanks so much. Both shows are absolutely brilliant.
What to watch now though.
New series on the way too:As Barcon recommended, just go for more David Simon.
Show Me A Hero and The Plot Against America are both excellent.
But don’t stop there. There’s prose too. Homicide is remarkable, as is The Corner.
