This looks amazing to an extent I might get Prime just for it.
Just hope there is scope to develop characters and keep the spirit of Tolkien.

I hope it's as good as the trailer looks... but history is against this.
There were numerous attempts to bring Tolkien to the screen - the best of which were mediocre.
Then, Peter Jackson nailed it with the 3-part Lord of the Rings trilogy. Fantastic.
And then, Jackson proceeded to butcher The Hobbit with another 3-part, boring, overly long 9-hour snore fest.
Here's hoping that Prime's directors on this upcoming series are able to tell captivating stories featuring compelling characters whom you'll grow to love or hate as the story unfolds.

Me too - I stopped watching Wheel of Time - boring - not worth my time.Here's hoping, I wasn't happy with that they did with wheels of time but fingers crossed
I'm that obsessed with Fantasy though I sat through it moaning the same way I did with GOT season 8 and no doubt I will watch the next series of Wheels and just complain all the way through itMe too - I stopped watching Wheel of Time - boring - not worth my time.

The Old Man (the past catching up with an ex CIA hitman/killer)
Jeff Bridges playing opposite John Lithgow - superb as you would expect.
Two gorgeous Rottweilers also play a starring role.
This is one of those rarely agreed assessment on a series, for me.
This show plays out like a really long extended film, such is its quality of direction and writing.
Truly a superb recommendation.
