Waitaminute!

'The Boys' kicked off the current genre of superhero angst on TV, so they're the ambitious trailblazers.

Now the shock factor has gone, they've had to up the ante in other ways (the storylines in the main, here). The fight scenes are, actually, like as you would read in the comics and played out in that realisation. I'm a huge critic of this stuff, but the work produced on 'The Boys' on a budget nowhere near a film budget is exceptional.

Nobody has done it better.

Yeah agree with that but it’s just me getting bored of the type of tv series! I’ll be checking out she hulk though

Yeah, I get that.

I know the producers are at their limit with source material, having skipped and merged bits, so it's going to be interesting what they do for this [final?] series.

Yeah they've deviated further and further from the comics as it's gone and and I don't think that's problem at all but every time it looks like it's going to go somewhere they seem to hit the reset button.

I guess it's the opposite of Game of Thrones in some ways. Once they ran out of source material they just seemed to have no idea where to go and still sprinted towards the finishing line.

Dogs Of Berlin (Netflix)

German series .Turkish descent German international playing for the rags gets murdered in Berlin. Gangsters suspected.

Actually really good I'm surprised I'd not heard of it before considering its 5 years old.

As a favour to a friend who's been mythering, I gave Yellowstone a try. Binged it in four days. Excellent.

Currently watching The Old Man.
Chanced upon it by accident and it’s a drama about loyalty between folk in the world of spies etc. in a post Afghanistan / US scenario, so definitely not my bag!
However, I have deep respect for John Lithgow so gave it a whirl and IMO it’s a good watch (if you can suspend disbelief about US motives)
