Paul Lake's Left Knee

Not a huge fan of autobiographies, I even got bored reading Uwe's.
Footballers can be tiresome, and boxers, although four kings (about Hagler, Hearns, Leonard and Duran) and Hands of stone (Duran) were as good as Hatton and Calzaghe were bad, as you said Uwe's is quite dull but there are the odd gems, I enjoyed Lakey, Andy Morrison and Joe Mercer from a City point of view and Gazza and Paul McGrath were quite eye opening. I love my cricket and there are some excellent reads from them, but they are mostly better educated and more intelligent so that isnt a great surprise, the list of good cricket ones is too big to reel off for me. I'm not a huge rugby fan but Martin Johnson and Lawrence Dallaglio were quite good. Some good cycling books out there. In general the more cerebral the sport the better the autobiographies are IMO.
