TV Series

Just watched 2 episodes of Quarry. Quite liked it. Very gritty.

Now watching Lethal Weapon. I can get past the "new" characters but I can't get past them driving in a "Grand Prix" and the race not being stopped. Or the fact that the track was dry one minute and then wet the next. Shoddy. I'll take this for what it is.

Next up will be Westworld.

Finally managed to get around to documentary The Resurrection of Jake The Snake Roberts on Netflix.

Choked me up - completely inspiring.

I also see SAS Who Dares Wins/are you tough enough is back on Ch4 very shortly.

Loved the first series and this one will be set in the jungle.

Just watched the first episode of Westworld. Fantastic opener, good acting, interesting storyline and message. Very violent, though the swatting of a fly will unerve you the most.

Definitely in this for the season.

Based on the premise, im not sure that it'll go on for many seasons though as where could it go?

Mr. Robot is one of the best shows around.

If you don't understand it I'm guessing you didn't do very well at school.

Lol... I've recently caught up, I have to say that the second series is much more my cup of tea, I don't know if the writing is intentionally geared towards a certain 'type' but it's not for the set 3/4 masses (:

Yeah I loved the 2nd series - admittedly the first 4 episodes plodded along but then the shit hits the fan when it's all explained.

Even my girlfriend who rivals goldfish for attention span liked it - now to get her to watch Better Call Saul...

Yep, hopefully it's just one of those re-cap episodes you get sometimes and it starts to get going next week?

Still a bit like a creepy episode of casualty. The music is quite haunting, makes you think something bad or fucked up is going to happen all the time

As if they would keep him right next to the woman he abducted and why wasnt he handcuffed to the bed when he woke up? I can see that nurse getting attacked/held hostage as he escapes at some point when he remembers whats going on.

I think there's something about the nurse, maybe a friend or relative of a victim?

Its not really a spoiler if you are guessing what is going to happen mate, a bit of a precaution that!! There's definitely something about her, I first thought she might be a relative or ex of his.

I'm glad Katie didnt get it to see him as that would have been beyond daft, will be interesting to see where they take her disturbed nature

Yeah but I know how sensitive some of the darlings are on here, some may think I've spoilt it by suggesting there's a nurse in a hospital?

Finally got around to 'Westworld', like everyone else!

Noticed Jonathon Nolan directing.

Nicer feel, deferred to classic direction with the Nolanesque angle and touch, here and there and joined the episode together more smoothly than his brother has done in his work. He's come a long way since doing 'Person of Interest'.

Hope he directs more stuff based on this first show.

Not usually a big tv watcher and usually end up watching one episode of a box set before not bothering again.

Am attempting to watch Luke Cage. Seems like a good start. Believable. Well acted.
Wasn't he in Jessica Jones ?

I still can't get over 'Limitless' being cancelled!!

Americans don't know a witty show when it hits them, sometimes!!

Literally has to be intentionally goofy or have a 'laugh track' to define what's what!!

Thought Limitless the TV series was excellent. Didn't realise they had cancelled a second series. :(
