Probably what you might not get is Liev Schreiber's performance as 'Ray Donovan' is exactly what it supposed to be. 'Wooden', 'unmoving' might be the surface, but he's suicidal/ a ticking time bomb. It's a nuance and you see it or you don't.
If you keep watching, you'll see why as the series rolls on.
Otherwise, bin it with no regrets.
Cheers mate. Going to give it a couple more episodes. TBO, it's the other characters who annoy me more at the moment.
I saw a clip for texas rising and thought it looked like a watch. Will try and check it out.
I really liked the xfiles when it was first on, I am dreading this new series, hope they dont ruin it, have a feeling they might.
I really have a feeling that the new xfiles will add to the legacy. All the same actors and pretty much all the same crew. I'm excited for it anyway. Can't get enough Gillian Anderson to boot.

The best thing about new x-files is Gillian Anderson due to her getting hotter as an older woman. I think she is hotter now than then easily.
Also the budget and sfx now will be great i hope, not that the old series was bad or that it needs hollywood effects every 2 minutes, just when it is called for and it does not look like a man in a suit kinda thing.

I watched about 4 seasons before i got interested in silly things like girls and underage drinking at weekends.
Thursday night on BBC2, just after red dwarf if memory serves, top banana.

You watched this week's Bob?? Or are you on the one after the break, its a 2 parter sorting out Liz's future, part 1 was in the states last week and part 2 last night. Spader gets better and better.
