The English remake of '19-2' first series was decent. That's Canadian.
The first ep of the second series is probably the best opener I've seen in 10 years or more.

Started watching 'the shannara chronicles'.
Watched the first 2 eps last night and watching the 2nd 2 tonight.
It's decent but a bit like an Aldi Lord of the Rings.
Also downloaded Band of Brothers which sounds quiet good.

Shannara chronicles is an MTV exclusive. Think Game of Thrones crossed with Lord of the Rings.
It's based on the books by Terry Brookes. Quiet big budget - flying dragons and demons and magic but a touch corney.
That and Band of brothers I downloaded as a torrent.

I'll try and check it out.
As for Band of Brothers, excellent series right up there with the best, it really does give a very good idea of what those men went through and having the real soldiers commenting as well was a touch of genius, its very rare that something on telly moves me to tears, and that series did a couple of times.
