TV Series

I tried the first episode of that ‘Farzar’ thinking it’d be easy background watching in the mould of Rick and Morty or Enchantment.

What absolute fucking trash. Didn’t last 7 minutes.

Watched most of the resident evil series...must say I'm pleasantly surprised these types of spin offs in my opinion dont turn out to well but i'm hooked

Very good. Reviewing badly because 45 year old men don't like a black man playing Albert Wesker.

I think a few people mentioned 'The Bear'

Binge watched the lot last night. I don't know why, but completely hooked from the off. Hurry TF up with Season 2.

Halfway through the second season of The Boys and I have to say I’m disappointed. I enjoyed the first season but it’s already lost momentum. I don’t care about any of the main characters.

I'm a 52 year old fan of the games and by no means a fan of inclusion for inclusions sake in any walk of life, best man/woman for the job regardless of creed and colour. Lance Reddick is a brilliant actor and delivers in this in spades. My brain did go, oh he's white in the game and less than a minute later The Wesker character was accepted as a black dude. Had he been shit my impulse would have been as you are implying and maybe turned me off.

Millennials are in their 20s now and dominate the arts, so i do fully expect an Mixed Race/Chinese/Asian Indian, Fullbearded James Bond driving a Prius vaping and having a Pint of Cockweasel IPA, "Paper not plastic shtraw" in the near future...Welcome to the new world order

Mmm, I don't think the show is designed for you to care about any of the characters, per se.

It's more the examining of the morality spectrum and acceptability in my opinion i.e., when something's acceptable depending who's doing what to whom as one baseline in the story.

Interesting take. Perhaps it’s my ADHD flaring up; I’ve just struggled to stay engaged with the first 4 episodes from season two.

Antony Starr is killing it as Homelander though.

It's not your ADHD, so don't worry. There's a conscious switch in storytelling. Gone is the shock factor as we're all used to it by now.

The story has become more subtle asking if we accept 'Butcher's' subtle behaviour in his group in comparison 'Homelander's' overt behaviour towards his, when the two are not really that different.

There's more moral standings than that, but I found it interesting the examinations of moral behaviour.

Disagree. Although not my absolute favorite of series - The Boys is good fun.

The Boys is certainly more entertaining than The Wheel of Time series, but is less compelling than The Witcher, Night Sky, Umbrella Academy or Game of Thrones.
