The only bit that let’s it down slightly is the character Christian who just didn’t ‘work’ for me.

Yeah very weird.

The casting was poor for that character.

He was the least believable top level gangster player on the planet.

A good one is Unsolved. It's on Netflix. A dramatization about the murders of Tupac and Biggie Smalls. It covers their friendship and their falling out, then the lead up to the two murders. It covers the fall out from the failed investigations as well as going into the blatant corruption of the police in L.A. at that time (rampart scandal). Even if you're not a fan of either Tupac of Biggie, it's still a great watch.

I'll have to give it a shot. I'm usually a little sceptical about Canadian shows. Definitely getting better though.

Made me think of an old HBO series I loved that only lasted 2 remarkable seasons - Carnivàle, highly recommended

It's probably not the best idea to judge an 8 episode series on about 25 minutes of the first episode. The story hasn't even begun at that point, To be fair, the first couple of episodes are a little bit focused on showing what's changed about the characters and Hawkins. My only criticism is that went on slightly too long. The pacing and story after that is bang on, though.

Stick with it, you won't feel like that at the end. It's the best of the three. Agree the 2nd wasn't as good.

Anyone done any of City on a Hill?

You know, I really wanted to try this. I was half convinced by the trailer and then I saw an excerpt.

It reminded me of a cheap 90s based cop show; all bad angles, terrible pacing and drawn out dialogue.

Lost me before it started.
