Problem is though they have to follow the game script.


From watching both you’d have to just say season 1 and 2 are like totally different shows.

Season 1 had just them 2 bonding while navigating the apocalypse together.

Season 2 was very Walking Dead’ish in its later seasons when it went crap. Loads more people given screen time and just loads of deaths and war etc and you stop caring.

They said there was a reason they went from the game script for season 2 well that was a massive mistake it was a 5/10 for that season poor very poor

A bit late to watching it-as ex job I found it very difficult to watch some of it because it brings back things I try to bury-but it’s also incredibly realistic, albeit based in Northern Ireland with the added risk, but is v good in how it portrays officers with all their flaws as ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It’s gripping drama and a must watch.

It has become a parody hasn’t it, they didn’t handcuff them allowed them to sing etc, it’s plain as day whats going to happen at the end with Hardy taking over hope he rips Ritchie apart.

The whole scene with Paddy Considine's character and his abuser was just... weird. Only just seen it this morning so I can't quite put my finger on why but it was so flat.

Second season of Poker Face, again like the 1st a quirky columbo-eque comedy drama, an enjoyable time passer.

Just watched Ep 1 of Dept Q the scandi-noir adqpted and set in Scotland, on this first episode it looks like one worth keeping with

I’ve read all the Department Q books so looking forward to this, thanks for the heads up.
 
Got round to watching the final episode of series two of The Last of Us.

I know it’s not very popular on here. But I enjoyed it. Not the greatest show ever but I’m a fan anyway.

Probably going to be a long wait but I’ll definitely be on the look out for the third series.

Others have said they didn’t like the ending but I thought it set it up a third season quite nicely. An interesting teaser for a whole new type of show next time probably.

Please, and I'm not taking the piss here, what did you enjoy about it?
Because I thought the second series was just dull. It dragged on forever, with hardly any action, just overly long scenes, too much melancholy, and extended dialogue about nothing particularly relevant to the plot.
Talking of which, does anyone remember what the actual plot is?
It's poor.
Propping it up just because it was once a popular game doesn't excuse bad telly.

I preferred the second series more, partly because of its gentler pace and continuous story line. As opposed to the first series, which was more a succession of individual stories told a frantic pace.

It’s hard to be too specific without giving anything away. But I enjoyed the way the characters and their relationships with each other were developed more in the second series. Rather than the smash, bang, wallop of the first. The episode where they filled in all the blanks between the two series, I thought was the standout episode of the whole show.

And I’m not drawn to it because of the game. I’ve never played a video game in my life. Just thought it was a fairly decent TV programme.
